Old West Flag Screensavers

Instructions for Windows 98:

Click on the pics here, and download the .BMP version these GIFs are linked to. Put the BMPs in the C:\windows\media\ directory, or another of your choice.

Go off-line and install as follows:

Go to: "Start" then to "Settings," then to "Control Panel"

Click on "Display," which brings you to "Display Properties." Then go to "Screen Saver."

You'll find a little selection box. Scroll up or down until you find "3-D Flying Objects" in this box.

Go to "Settings." Set the "Style" as "Textured Flag."

Click on the "Texture" button. Find the directory that has the BMPs you downloaded, and click on the one you want. Then click "Open."

Click on the "X" box in the upper right hand corners until you have exited to "Display Properties." Click "Preview" to see what you get, and set your timer for how soon the saver appears. That's all there is to it!

Don't worry about the black areas of the flags. That's there to match the background of the saver software.
